The corporate culture of today is vastly different from that of even a decade ago. The keyword for this generation of workers is "work-life balance," and the company that can achieve this right will have an advantage over the competition. In many organizations, work flexibility raises a lot of questions, especially if the organization is conservative and has an old-school, traditional approach to work.

What Is Work Flexibility?
Inherent in its description is the degree to which workers can make choices to arrange essential parts of their professional lives, particularly affecting where, when, and for how long work is performed (Hill et al., 2008). Employee satisfaction rises as a result, and they become more productive and hardworking. This is referred to as work flexibility.
Benefits of being flexible at the workplace.
When it comes to problem-solving, flexibility is important. Employees may change and flourish in the workplace if they are flexible, regardless of their job title. Employees who are less nervous at work are better equipped to strike a healthy work-life balance. An openness to change exposes everyone to new experiences and ideas, and it may lead them down career avenues they hadn't considered before. Being flexible has the extra benefit of making employees happier in other aspects of their lives.
Flexible working arrangements types.
Telecommuting
A telecommuting job is one where you work from home for part of the time. It can be full-time employment, but because telecommuting typically requires employees to come into the office on a semi-regular basis, employees in this arrangement typically reside in the same area.
Remote work
Remote work is done totally outside of the workplace. It might be permanent or temporary employment. Because the employee is not required to come into the workplace.
Condensed Workweeks
The company may choose to have a 40-hour workweek and may be flexible about where and when those hours are spent. Consider a shortened workweek, which consists of four 10-hour days with Fridays off.
Personalized hours of work
It is a tremendous benefit and freedom for a company to let employees pick their own working hours. Choosing their time is a popular and reasonably easy technique in a window.
Part time Positions
Not every job requires a full-time commitment. Offering part-time jobs can help boost productivity.
Job sharing
Job sharing is similar to part-time jobs. The system is made up of two or more part-time employees who share a full-time job.
